UI Roboboat team now is developing a robot ship without crew (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) by the name of makara-02. Our members are:
Irvan JP Elliika from Electrical Engineering University of Indonesia ‘08
Novika Ginanto from Electrical Engineering University of Indonesia ‘08
M Hary Mukti from Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering University of Indonesia ’09
Aditya Meisar from Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering University of Indonesia ’09
M Anwar Ma’sum from Computer Science University of Indonesia ‘09
Our guider are Lecturer from Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering
(Dr. Ir. Sunaryo, M.Sc) and Dean of faculty of engineering UI (Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Sugiarto, M.Eng.)
We are working with TNI AL to develop “SEA GHOST Project”. The concept that we use is about “cyber warfare” in defense area of Indonesia. Ships without crew will be controlled remotely via satellite. Its main function is to attack the intruder.
If makara-02 is hacked or is attacked some viruses by the intruder, then PUSINFOLAHTA – TNI will fight against viruses or hacker attacks. So, makara-02 can be controlled back.
This vehicle is automatic control system based on sensor camera (image processing ). The design of Makara-02 is a high-tech design of the aspect of stability and a very low resistance, this is the combination of SWATH (Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull) and Wave Piercing technology.
This prototype has been featured on TNI stand on IndoDefence 2012, this event was held at the Jakarta International Expo-Kemayoran in 7-10 November 2012 ago.
Makara-02 is an Unmanned Surface Vehicle developed from the Makara-01, which is an Unmanned Surface Vehicle previously. Makara-01 has participated in the AUVSI contest in the United States in 2012.
